Journal

-recently I've noticed that I've been deep thinking a lot. And when i go through things through my head, when feeling angry/upset i wish that i would have written it down because i feel like maybe it would make me feel like i can get over the problem that going over it in my head a thousand times. Plus i feel like some of the words that i put together are really good and i would make a good book/poem (ha) but my brains like a sieve so i always forget what i was saying.
So i decided i should start writing a journal, but only for when i just want to write something after feeling upset/angry wanting to just express my opinion.. not a 10 year old'/s diary of what they did on the weekend.

-I just feel sorry for anyone in the future who accidentally reads it because it aint gunna be pretty

-little black book of secrets ;)

A song I'm loving

The song I'm loving at the moment has been out for ages but I just can't get enough of it plus his Ep!

Calling by Lewis Watson
Ep- Four More Songs

Go check him out he has a YouTube channel too! And he's done many covers but my favourite is Skinny Love originally by Birdy!

Photo Editing Apps I love and that are probably mostly used by others

Afterlight- This one is probably most known because of  celebrities or famous people use for example; Willow Smith, Kylie Kardashian, Acacia Brinley.
It's great for touch ups or editing brightening, contrast etc. They also have a lot of great filters, but I don't really use them I use the 'Fade' in the basic editing. But it's probably mostly used for its use of frames as they have lots  of shapes: circles, hearts, triangles or your basic rectangle frame (which I probably mostly use)
Photoboothapp - I mostly use this app for a reflection effect or to use the collage, the reflective effect is either horizontal or diagonal.
Papelook- Now this is good for 'Tumblr' like edits as with this app you can add transparent pictures! But to do this you have to save Transparent pictures onto your phone. Easy way to do that is to search 'transparent tumblr pictures' on google search and save them! I still need to get the jist of it so it doesn't look so structured
Hope you found that helpful, if you like this sort of thing then let me know and I will try do more blog posts like this!

Out & About

so today i went for a little walk with my mother, we walked by our local Swannery. Today of all days i noticed how lovely it looked!
(If your wondering I'm currently living in the south west)
I only took a few photos, and they were on my phone so it doesn't give the place much justice..
We also have a beach, but today we didn't go there, hopefully tomorrow i will be going with the family after college.. That's if the weather is nice like today!

What a Bargain!

So today i went to Matalan and i spotted two bargains. A light colored loose skinny jean & a stripy dress that falls just before your ankles.
For a while I've been looking for a nice pair of light jeans that are the 'boyfriend' style, and when i saw these i thought they were good enough especially at the price they were! Plus normally I'm not into the long styled dress but  when i saw it i literally fell in love and i do love stripes too!
So here are some pictures of what they look like:
Jeans- £10
Dress-£12

How i would style them:

Leather jacket- Forever 21
T-Shirt- Pretty Junk

I'm working on it!

So i know I've only started this blog, but i want to give it a good try!
I'm going to be investing in a good camera, and soon hopefully buying a tripod for my current (not very good) box standard digital camera. My birthday is coming up soon so hopefully that can help to saving up for a good camera! Then my pictures will be at a better quality, and i do enjoy photography so i may as well do it properly!

LAMDA auditions

About 2 months ago, me and my friend Lauren (she does acting with me too) did 2 LAMDA auditions. This happens every year, the college gets LAMDA (the London academy of music and dramatic art) to come down and examine us on 2 contrasting pieces(one modern and one dated e.g. before 1950). They do this because it will give us more experience when it comes to auditions and how the process works, so we can feel prepared for what could happen.
Lauren and I pieces were called  'Fault' which is one from the LAMDA audition material book (which we has to choose from) and we also did 'The Importance of Being Ernest' which is written by Oscar Wilde, we did the scene where Cecily and Gwendolen are meeting for the first time, i played Cecily as my lecturer thought that the character suited me more.
Lets just say the whole experience was rather tense. Because personally I've always struggled with my Diction which is how you pronounce your words. As i struggle to pronounce my T's and TH sounds in words. Because i was brought up in East London most TH sounds were replaced with the V sound or F sound. But i have been working on it by having a vocal routine which is helping my diction, i practice it on a Wednesday and Sunday evening.
But back to the LAMDA auditions.. the day went very quickly as there was a nice lady who was our examiner and we'd show both of our pieces in costume and using props. Then she would ask us individually questions about our knowledge of both pieces, i felt very confident when it came to the questions and it showed because i got full marks when it came to the Knowledge section. After we'd answer the questions the examiner then would test us on our knowledge of the stage. She would tell us to go to stage left, stage right, center stage etc. This may sound easy to you  but the stage directions are set the way the audience see it so if she said stage right I would have to do the opposite because it would be my left but we'd have to go the audiences right, and that's how it works.
So overall i got a Merit( 3 marks off a distinction which is the highest grade) if i'm being totally honest i was very disappointed because i was so close to a Distinction and that i worked so hard. Through this process we also had to write logbooks of our process over 15 weeks, and let me tell you they're a pain in the but because we got marked on them too and they had to be VERY detailed! But good news for me is i actually got a Distinction in my written work which i was very surprised about because I've always struggled when it comes to writing especially in something that detailed.
Now its finished and i only have to wait till September until we start working on LAMDA auditions again.. what a joy!
